James and I haven't been out on the water in such a long time, so when a friend invited us along for a boat ride to the reef, we jumped at the chance. The water was smooth and cool, the sun was warm (when it was out!) and the company was wonderful. We all had a great time. Here are a few photos of our day trip.
As we made our way through the cut to the ocean side of the island, lots of iguanas were
basking in the sun on the coral rock above us.

Egrets are always at the ready to catch any fish that may swim by...
Actually, is this an egret or a heron? I can never remember how to tell the difference!
Out in the ocean, I spied this sea turtle beneath me.
It let me follow it for several minutes before it got spooked and flew away.

So cute! I LOVE LOVE sea turtles!
We also saw a HUGE puffer fish...this guy must've been at least 18" long!
Such a lovely day...we will definitely have to go back to the reef again some time soon!
